Raimund is a Principal at Equilibrium and leads Equilibrium’s renewable energy and energy efficiency strategies.
During the last 15 years, Raimund has developed projects with a total value of more than $3 billion. In addition to project development, he has led the purchase and sale of assets as part of overall management of a strategic portfolio of electricity generating assets including leading the sale of two solar photovoltaic portfolios totaling more than one Gigawatt in the U.S, Chile and Mexico.
Prior to joining Equilibrium, he was the President, COO and one of the founding members of Element Power, a renewable energy development company and independent power producer (IPP). Prior to starting Element Power, Raimund was a Managing Director at PPM Energy and Iberdrola where he led regional project development in the U.S. and Canada. In his capacity at PPM and Iberdrola, Raimund was responsible for acquisitions, development and power marketing for wind projects in the Mid-continent and West regions of the U.S. Prior to joining PPM Energy, Raimund worked at Enron as a financial analyst for pipeline and gas-fired generation projects and later as a developer of gas-fired projects in the Southeastern U.S. Prior to joining PPM Energy, Raimund worked in Hong Kong for GHK International, a global economic consulting firm. His responsibilities included research and analysis of the impact of environmental legislation in Hong Kong on trade and industry.
Raimund earned a Masters in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University with concentration in Finance and Natural Resource Management and a B.S. in Asian Studies and Economics from Colgate University.
