Chung Yim

Corporate Controller

Chung is Equilibrium’s Corporate Controller and his primary role is to oversee and manage the operations of Equilibrium’s corporate accounting and finance functions. He brings over 17 years of accounting and finance experience, from foreign currency and stock trading to public accounting and corporate controllership.

Most recently, he was SVP Finance and Controller at Dext Capital, an independent medical equipment finance company. He was responsible for all finance and accounting related functions including management of credit facilities, securitization of loan and lease contracts, operations and infrastructure. He led the finance and accounting initiatives that allowed the company to scale from zero to three hundred million dollars in originations over two years.

Prior to Dext, he managed the third-party railroad assets in excess of one billion dollars at the Greenbrier Companies, a multi-billion-dollar railroad asset manufacturer and operator. In this role, he designed and implemented financial reporting systems as well as financial due diligence efforts on a number of strategic investments. Prior thereto, he worked in national accounting firms, including PwC, where he managed various audit engagements for multinational clients.

Chung is a graduate of McMill University where he earned his B.A. in economics. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute.
